the opportunity to purchase City Cab and after some lengthy
consideration and with anticipation that I could better myself, I
decided to accept the offer. I retained my job for nearly three
months after I purchased the company, to insure that it could
sustain myself and provide for my three girls, which it did and was
developing into a decent business. For the most part I had taken
the word of the seller to be in good faith, well let me tell you I was
sadly mistaken and learned that the seller obviously had other
intentions and began another taxi company, using the same name
but with a different phone number, which I suspect wasn't working
to well so in September he made an all out effort to take back the
company, even though I had complied with our agreement to the
t, by taking back the phone numbers and operating the company
himself. Bear in mind that this happened two days after I had
made my September payment and several thousand dollars
before that. The plan worked and for all practical purposes I was
out of business for some 34 days, In my opinion, he knew that I
wasn't a rich person and wouldn't be able to fight back but with
the grace of God, the selling of some of my assets, and a helping
hand from family and friends, I was able to retain the best
attorney, Jay Kaskie, for the job and on Oct 8 I was able to
obtain an agreed upon injuction to get my phones back. I am
presently back in business although the case is still pending and
will soon be set for trial, which means that the legal fees will begin
to mount to a point that I may not be able to proceed. We may
have the best legal system but we all know its very cost
prohibitive so without the funds to continue, justice will not
prevail, which is why I am reaching out to all of my friends and to
those that believe in right and wrong to help me by donating
whatever you can afford to my cause.
